I will happily attempt to repair Laguna remote controls which seem to develop a few common faults normally in the form of intermittent operation or buttons not operating.
However, there are a few issues with opening these keyfobs due to them not being designed to be opened again. They are solvent welded shut at manufacture which effectively means the only way into them is to cut/peel them open. This is usually done with a very sharp knife and bravery! Whilst generally successful, some of them on very rare occasions do not want to open without cracking on the seams. Hopefully any that do crack will only be in places that don't matter and can be glued but if they crack near the button plips on the top side, it may not be possible to make a good job of covering up the damage.
Once I have repaired the electronics inside (I will replace both buttons as a matter of course as they seem destined to fail at some point), I use epoxy resin glue to glue the two halves of the case back together and clamp them shut overnight whilst the glue cures. This appears to be quite strong but I do not have any long term experience of how well the glue stands up. Also, the remote will not be cosmetically perfect after being cut opened and glued in this manner - there will be a glue seam where the remote was cut open and possibly marks caused by the cutting.
If none of the above issues worry you, I will be more than happy to repair your remote. email me if you'd like to enquire about having one repaired.
